WINDOWS OF PERCEPTION

Inspired by the calming ambience of brutalist sacred architecture and the observatory role of angels longing for physical connection in Wim Wender's "Wings of Desire", the collection expresses a meditative spirit as the answer to the growing human desire to experience real-life sensory connection in a growlingly virtual world. The collection is entirely hand dyed and combines zero-waste pattern cutting, cruelty-free silk and upcycled materials with couture craftsmanship. Wind chime earplugs and glass blinders affect the wearer’s perception of space and each piece is paired with sound shoes that chime as the wearer walks, enhancing the acoustic experience of movement and expanding on Warnke’s philosophy of perception within dress.
