MURMELSPIEL, complex in construction, yet effortless in expression, represents a journey of colour, playfulness, and movement.

The collection is influenced by Warnke’s favourite childhood objects and the memories of movement and physical touch these hold. Colourful marble games, delicate dance clothing and kinetic garden sculptures are translated into fluid draping and tailoring, layered transparencies and soft colour transitions. The free floating drapes broken by sharp curved cutting enhance the impression and feeling of body movement, reminding of the spiralling motions of chimes and marble games.

References of Warnke’s personal stock of Pina Bausch-style contemporary dance wear are reflected in ice-dyed bodysuits, draped scarf tops, flounce kaftan dresses, curtain-drape miniskirts and ballet tights.

Made locally in London the collection minimises production emissions and embeds sustainability organically into the design. The collection’s colour range of eco-friendly hand-dyed fabrics is as eclectic as the material mix of Warnke’s found objects. Fine TENCEL LUXE™ fabrics and cruelty-free silks are juxtaposed with the crafted touch of upcycled Vintage tapestry and vibrantly dyed and printed deadstock materials.

Whilst the emphasis on colour, and intricate craftsmanship remains, MURMELSPIEL represents a wearable yet artisanal take on the ethereal ambience of previous collections.
